The Justice Department is set to approve Google's $400 million acquisition of AdMeld, a major display advertising company, according to two people with knowledge of the matter.
The individuals said anti-trust officials will allow the deal to proceed soon, without adding any major conditions, because a detailed staff analysis found there are enough competitors that offer services similar to AdMeld, a company that helps online publishers sell their ads. The sources said they could not speak publicly because the decision is still being finalized.
