LOCAL COMMUTER ALERT

Broken Dupont Circle escalator effectively closes station to pedestrians


Metro said an escalator is out of service at the north entrance of Dupont Circle. No passengers can enter from the street level into the station as of 6 p.m. Trains are stopping at the station, but Stessel said "you cannot enter from the street for safety reasons."
