House GOP leaders put off vote on debt plan until Friday
A vote on an an increase in the federal debt limit was postponed until at least Friday, House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said Thursday night. The vote had been scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, but it was delayed as top House Republicans continued to try securing enough votes to pass the measure.
