---------------------------------------- Economy/Business News Alert: Senate tables Boehner bill July 29, 2011 8:26:23 PM ---------------------------------------- Roughly two-and-a-half hours after it was passed by the House, Senate Democrats on Friday night tabled, 59 to 41, House Speaker John Boehner's bill to raise the debt limit. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will now try to broker his own plan with Republicans and the White House before the debt ceiling expires on Aug. 2.
