Marriott International has issued layoff notices to some technology workers in its Bethesda, Frederick and Gaithersburg offices, and warned that more are likely to follow, according to filings with the Maryland Department of Labor.
The notices say that 35 positions will be eliminated initially at each location. By December 2013, the number could rise to "several hundred" from each office. In the filings, it attributed the cuts to plant closures. The cuts are effective as of June 28.
