Outbound lanes of Arlington Memorial Bridge also closed

Slick road conditions due to overnight snow and ice is causing accidents and delays across the Washington area Thursday morning.

The outbound lanes of the Arlington Memorial Bridge are closed following an accident that officials said may have been caused by slick road conditions. Inbound lanes are open, but traffic is moving slowly.

Route 29′s southbound lanes are closed after the Beltway near Granville Road in Maryland due to an accident. Drivers should expect significant delays heading into the District.
