---------------------------------------- Local Commuter Alert: Major Metro track work on Orange, Blue lines September 2, 2011 8:03:47 PM ---------------------------------------- There is no Metro service on the Orange Line between the East Falls Church and West Falls Church stations. The stations will remain open and free shuttle buses will be provided. The last train will depart Vienna 20 minutes earlier than usual during this work. In addition, trains will share one track and operate every 24 minutes between the Vienna and West Falls Church stations. Add at least half an hour to your trip. At 10 p.m., the Blue Line's Franconia-Springfield and Van Dorn Street stations will be closed. They will reopen Tuesday morning. Free shuttle buses will operate between the Franconia-Springfield and Eisenhower Avenue stations via the Van Dorn Street station. Blue Line trains will operate to and from the Huntington station every 20 minutes, according to Metro. Add at least half an hour to your trip.
