Local Commuter Alert: Significant Red Line delays continue following person struck by train

The Friendship Heights station has been reopened after a person was hit by a train about 4 p.m. An earlier alert identified the person as a Metro employee. WMATA officials said they do not believe the individual is a Metro employee Single-tracking and significant delays continue.
